Cleaning
How to wash your plushie

Most marks can be handled with a spot clean. For a deeper clean, hand-washing is safest and machine washing on a gentle cycle is fine for most designs.

Spot clean first. Dampen a soft cloth with cool water and a tiny drop of mild soap. Dab gently — don't rub, which spreads the stain.

For a full wash, use a laundry bag. Place the plushie inside a mesh laundry bag or pillowcase before putting it in the machine.

Cold water, delicate cycle. Use a gentle, colour-safe detergent. No fabric softener — it can mat down the plush fibres.

Air dry completely. Reshape while damp and leave flat or hanging in a well-ventilated spot. Never wring out or machine dry.

Fluff it back up. Once fully dry, use a soft-bristle brush or your fingers to gently restore the pile direction.
⚠️ Designs with glitter details, ribbon accents, or metallic elements should be spot-cleaned only — machine washing may loosen these embellishments.
Storage
Storing your plushie well

Whether you're displaying your plushie or packing it away, a little thought goes a long way.

Keep out of direct sunlightProlonged UV exposure fades colours over time, especially in pinks and purples.
Away from moistureStore in a dry spot. Damp environments encourage mildew, which is hard to remove from plush.
Breathable packagingFor long-term storage, use a cotton bag or the original gift box — avoid sealed plastic bags.
On a shelf, not a pileStacking heavy items on top can permanently compress the filling and flatten features.
Repairs
Minor fixes at home

Small wear and tear is normal, especially for well-loved plushies. Here's how to handle the most common issues yourself.

Loose seam? Use a needle and matching thread to close it with a ladder stitch. Pull gently to keep the tension even.

Flat filling? Open a small seam, add polyfill stuffing (available at craft shops), and stitch closed again.

Matted fur? Use a pet slicker brush or fine-toothed comb very gently in the direction of the pile to restore fluffiness.

Age guidance & safety notes

Our plushies are designed with adults and older children in mind. All designs are tested to EN71 toy safety standards.

Ages 3+Embroidered eyes are securely sewn, but small decorative details (ribbons, tags) should be supervised around very young children.
Not for infantsKeep all plushies out of cots and sleep spaces for children under 12 months.
Hypoallergenic fillingAll designs use polyester fibrefill that is free from common allergens.
Check seams regularlyWith heavy daily use, give seams a quick check every few months and repair early.
